Nevada Budtender Pilot Program - March 2026

1. Program Overview

The Nevada Budtender Pilot Program ("Program") is offered by Cloak and Quill Research, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization ("we," "us," "our"). The Program provides free evidence-based cannabis safety education and professional certification to Nevada-licensed dispensary employees.

2. Eligibility

To participate, you must:

  • Be 21 years of age or older

  • Be currently employed at a Nevada-licensed cannabis dispensary, OR

  • Be actively seeking employment as a budtender in Nevada

  • Provide a valid email address for program communications

3. Program Details

What's Included:

  • Free online certification course (100% no cost)

  • Access to 505+ peer-reviewed cannabis studies

  • Evidence-based product guidance training

  • Digital certificate upon completion

  • Continuing education resources

Pilot Program Specifics:

  • Launch: March 2026

  • Capacity: 100 participants (first-come, first-served)

  • Format: Self-paced online learning

  • Duration: Approximately 8-12 hours of coursework

  • Certificate valid for 2 years from completion date

4. No Cost, No Obligation

This Program is 100% free. We will never:

  • Charge you any fees

  • Require credit card information

  • Sell your contact information to third parties

  • Obligate you to purchase products or services

5. Educational Purposes Only

The Program provides educational information for professional development. It does not:

  • Constitute medical advice or treatment recommendations

  • Replace professional medical consultation

  • Guarantee employment outcomes or salary increases

  • Create a doctor-patient or advisor-client relationship

Participants should always follow Nevada state regulations and their employer's policies when making product recommendations.

6. Data Collection and Privacy

Information We Collect:

  • Name and email address (required for enrollment)

  • Employer name and location (optional, for program evaluation)

  • Course completion data (for certification issuance)

  • Feedback and survey responses (optional)

How We Use Your Information:

  • Program enrollment and administration

  • Certificate issuance and verification

  • Program improvement and evaluation

  • Nonprofit research and reporting (aggregated data only)

We Do NOT:

  • Sell or rent your personal information

  • Share your data with employers without consent

  • Use your information for commercial marketing

  • Require social media access or personal health information

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials, including:

  • Research summaries and educational content

  • Certification credentials and branding

  • Platform technology and databases

Are proprietary to Cloak and Quill Research and protected by U.S. copyright, trademark, and patent laws. Participants may:

✅ Reference course content in workplace settings

✅ Share their certification credentials with employers

Participants may NOT:

❌ Reproduce or redistribute course materials commercially

❌ Claim authorship of our research or content

❌ Use our trademarks without written permission

8. Program Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify course content based on new research

  • Adjust program timeline or capacity

  • Update certification requirements

  • Suspend or terminate the Program with 30 days’ notice

Enrolled participants will be notified of material changes via email.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Cloak and Quill Research provides this Program "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for:

  • Employment decisions made by dispensaries or participants

  • Product recommendations made by participants to customers

  • Technical issues, data loss, or access interruptions

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 per participant.

10. Nevada Law Governs

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in Clark County, Nevada.

11. Participant Responsibilities

By enrolling, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information during enrollment

  • Complete coursework in good faith

  • Use certification appropriately and professionally

  • Comply with all applicable Nevada cannabis regulations

  • Not share login credentials with non-enrolled individuals

12. Voluntary Participation

Participation is entirely voluntary. You may:

  • Withdraw from the Program at any time

  • Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal requirements)

  • Decline to answer the optional survey questions

13. No Employment Relationship

Participation in this Program does not:

  • Create an employer-employee relationship with Cloak and Quill Research

  • Guarantee employment at any cannabis dispensary

  • Replace employer-provided training requirements

14. Feedback and Testimonials

If you provide feedback, testimonials, or reviews, you permit us to:

  • Use your comments (anonymously or attributed) in program materials

  • Share aggregated feedback with funders and research partners

  • Publish testimonials on our website (with your consent)

You may request the removal of attributed testimonials at any time.

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cloak and Quill Research regarding the Nevada Budtender Pilot Program.
